How this site is funded
Section8Housing.us is free to use. It is funded by advertising displayed on its pages, supplied by Google AdSense. We receive payment based on advertisement impressions and clicks.
What that does and does not mean
- Advertisements are not endorsements. We do not select individual advertisers and we do not vet what they offer.
- Advertisements are not part of any application process. Nothing you click in an advertisement is a Section 8 application, and no advertiser can grant you a voucher or a place on a waiting list.
- Advertising has no influence on our directory. Agencies are listed because they appear in published HUD data, never because anyone paid to be listed. No agency can pay for placement, ranking or removal.
- We do not charge for anything. Applying to a public housing agency is free, and we never take a fee to submit or forward an application.
Be careful with advertisements on housing pages
Some advertisements on housing-related websites promote paid "application assistance" or claim to speed up waiting lists. Treat those with caution. Nobody can sell you a voucher or move you up a list, and you never need to pay to apply. If an advertisement asks for money to secure housing assistance, or for your Social Security number or bank details, do not provide them.
