1. What this site is

Section8Housing.us is an independently operated information website. It is not HUD, not a government agency, and not affiliated with or endorsed by either. It does not issue housing vouchers and does not accept Section 8 applications. Applications, eligibility and waiting-list decisions are handled solely by local public housing agencies.

2. Information is provided as a starting point

Our agency directory derives from published HUD contact data and may be incomplete or out of date. Our guidance articles describe the programme in general terms, and rules vary by agency, locality and programme. Confirm anything you intend to act on with the relevant agency or with HUD before relying on it. We do not warrant that the information here is accurate, current or complete.

3. No professional advice, no relationship

Nothing here is legal, financial or housing advice, and using this site does not create any advisory or agency relationship between you and us.

4. Third-party links and advertising

We link to agency and government websites and we display third-party advertising. We do not control that content and do not endorse it. See our advertising disclosure.

5. Acceptable use

Please do not scrape or bulk-extract this site, attempt to gain unauthorised access, interfere with its operation, or use it to send unsolicited messages.

6. Retired features

This site previously hosted a tenant directory and rental listings. Both have been permanently withdrawn and are no longer published. Registration for public accounts is closed.

7. Limitation of liability

The site is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for loss arising from reliance on information found here. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

We may update these terms. The date above shows when they last changed.
